Holiday water safety & stroke clinics
splash! Holiday Clinics are the best way to see a lot of progress in a short space of time. The repetition of attending 5 intensive learn-to-swim / stroke correction lessons every day for a week helps to ingrain new skills, break bad habits, and fix little problems with a swimmer's stroke.
Although no swimming programme can guarantee results, we have seen some really amazing improvements in some of our swimmers within the space of 1 or 2 holiday clinics. With a good deal of committment to the cause from the parent's side, we have actually seen children learn to swim during a holiday clinic!
The splash! teachers work hard during the Holiday Clinics to give their swimmers' skills as much of a boost as possible. However, bear in mind that as with any a new skill learnt, it will be quickly lost unless it is practiced under the correct supervision for an extended period of time - until it becomes ingrained as a habit.
